What is CASA? A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer is a trained citizen who is appointed by a judge to represent the best interest of a child in court. Most of the children are victims of abuse and/or neglect.
Madison County CASA was chartered by the state of Tennessee in late 1996. We served our first child in 1997. The founding Board of Directors included Judge Christy Little who was an attorney in private practice at the time. Since those early days, we have grown to a team of over 50 volunteers and served over 700 children.
I want to help CASA but don't have much money to give or the time to be a volunteer. What else can I do?
My group/business/organization wants an activity to help CASA! What can we do?
